(Web Desk) – Amid the eurozone crisis and Greece’s looming debt, Twitterati have gone critical of Germany’s harsh stances and the bailout deal it presented to Greece but was rejected in a country-wide referendum.

They say many European and non-EU countries including under-developed countries like Pakistan and Egypt helped develop Germany’s economy and yet Germany is not extending the same courtesy when it comes to the present crisis with Greece.

Pakistan was indeed one of Germany’s creditors by 1953 along with Egypt, Greece, Spain, US, UK and France. Half of Germany’s debt was cancelled in an agreement that was reached in London in August 1953.

After Greeks rejected the bailout plan, eurozone leaders are set to meet in an emergency summit in Brussels. Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras after taking the political leadership of the country in confidence has left for Brussels where he will present new proposals.

The French Prime Minister Manuel Valls, however, has emphasized to doing whatever it takes to keep Greece in the eurozone.
