Summary
A New York court has dismissed lawsuits brought against 49 businesses and individuals, including some of the relatives of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, for lack of evidence. Federal judge George Daniels tossed out the cases brought against four half-brothers and a nephew of bin Laden. The suits had been filed seven years ago by relatives of some of the people killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks, carried out by Al-Qaeda. Almost 3,000 people were killed. But the judge ruled the suits had failed to show bin Laden's relatives were involved.
