Summary April 7 is the worldwide Health Day as per WHO since 1948

The world is celebrating #WorldHealth day today on 7 April.

A global health awareness day sponsored by World Health Organization (WHO), it has been observed ever since WHO first held its World Health Assembly in 1948.

In recent times, the event has been organized in line with some particular theme. This trend started in 1995 when the #WorldHealth day was themed ‘Global Polio Eradication’.

Fast forward 20 years and we have the year 2015 where the theme ‘Food safety’ is the tagline for WHO’s agenda.
