Summary
A tornado whipped through Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, killing 12 people and ripping the roofs off of homes and building throughout the region. Fierce winds peeled the siding off of homes, upending dozens motor homes in the southeastern Michigan town of Dundee. An estimated 37,000 people were without power according to local authorities. A dozen people were injured. Heavy rain and strong winds have been reported in neighboring Indiana and in parts of Illinois.
