The red-shirt protesters in Thailand have ended their protest however hours following the surrender the Thai authorities have put the capital Bangkok under curfew. At least 20 fires have been reported across Bangkok. Fires were reported at the stock exchange, banks and a shopping mall. The protesters also tried to attack the state television building in Bangkok. Pockets of resistance remain despite pleas from protest leaders to go home. Six people were killed while 58 others have been injured since the army is trying to control the situation. Electricity supply remained disrupted in major parts of the city.
