Summary

The home of damned Swedish artist Lars Vilks was attacked by arsonists in the second such attack in four days. Vilks made a caricature of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), prompting an Iraqi group linked to al Qaeda to offer a 100,000 USD reward for the cartoonist's killing. Local police have opened an investigation but still have few leads. Vilks says a bottle filled with gasoline and a jacket with an address and keys were found near his house. The 63-year-old, who continues to live at his home in southern Sweden and has no bodyguards, has been the target of several attacks and death threats over the past three years. Last week, Vilks came under attack during a lecture at a Swedish university. The cartoonist was head-butted while giving a lecture about freedom of speech at the University of Uppsala, about 70 km (44 miles) from Stockholm.
