US warns Syria over arms to Hezbollah

The United States has warned Syria about the gravity of supplying Scud ballistic missiles to Hezbollah. The warning comes after Israel leveled similar accusations against Damascus. Jeffrey Feltman, the state department's top official on the Middle East, said Washington would consider the full range of tools available to make Syria reverse any delivery of Scud missiles to the Shiite militia in Lebanon. He would not confirm the delivery had taken place, but said this would be an incendiary, provocative action. During a hearing in Congress, Feltman went further, by saying that if Damascus has supplied the militant group with the weapons, Washington would consider all options to be on the table.
