Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight from Lahore destined for New York had to stay in Istanbul airport for 18 hours due to a technical fault.According to sources of PIA, the flight was landed in Istanbul after one of the on board passenger got sick. After landing in Istanbul, a technical fault in the aircraft was also reported. The passengers were asked to stay at the airport and no help or stay facility was provided to them. According to PIA spokesperson Sultan Hassan, due to weekly holiday no ground staff was present at the Istanbul airport which mainly was the reason for the delay. According to sources the passengers were sent on a different aircraft.According to PIA spokesperson Sultan Hassan, the flight was landed in emergency when one of the on board passenger suffered a cardiac attack.
