Lebanon's Prime Minister seeks assistance from Turkish President

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri described Israel as an enemy and asked for help from Turkey to stop Israeli violations of Lebanon's territory. We should stop Israel without pushing it to or giving it the excuse to take military action. On this matter, we should all take a stand in the face of this aggression that Israel is planning, especially what we are seeing occur in Palestine, Hariri told a news conference in Ankara. I have obviously spoken to the Prime Minister regarding Israel's violation of the 1701 resolution and I asked the Prime Minister to pressure Israel into abiding by resolution 1701, he added. Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said Israel has violated over 100 UN resolutions and called for the United Nations to be restructured. Lebanon has previously criticised the United Nations for doing little to stop Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty.
