Heavy rain left thousands of pilgrims heading for the annual Hajj pilgrimage stuck in the Saudi city of Jeddah as authorities closed the road to holy city of Mecca. Thousands of pilgrims waited in streets or hotels in the Red Sea port city which has been hit by heavy rain for days.We are stuck because of the water, because of the rain as soon as possible, God willing (InshAllah), everything will be okay, Turkish pilgrim Hakan said.Because of the heavy rain since early morning, the roads are blocked hopefully today we will arrive and will go to Arafat tomorrow, Egyptian pilgrim, Alaa Qutob, said.
