David Miliband, on the first visit by a British foreign secretary to Russia for five years, sought Monday to warm relations that had plunged back to a Cold War chill by a series of bitter rows.Miliband said London and Moscow should work together on shared challenges, at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.We both know that there are big challenges that our countries face. There are a number of areas where we can find common ground, Miliband told Lavrov at the start of their talks.Miliband is also expected to discuss Russian cooperation for the war in Afghanistan, where British troops are involved in the troubled international effort to put down the Taliban insurgency.
