In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders have paid glowing tributes to the Jammu Martyrs, who were brutally killed in 1947, terming the massacre as the blackest chapter in the history of Jammu and Kashmir.The Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, Farida Behnji addressing a meeting held in Srinagar to commemorate the Jammu Martyrs Day, today, said that the martyrs had shown the Kashmiris the path to freedom through their unprecedented sacrifices.Farida Behnji reaffirmed the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the liberation struggle until accomplishment of the martyrs’ mission. “On this day lakhs of Muslims including women and children were massacred by the Hindu extremists in Jammu,” she added.The Democratic Political Movement Chairman, Firdous Shah, in a statement in Srinagar also eulogised the sacrifices of the martyrs.The Chairman of the United Jihad Council, Syed Salahuddin in a statement said that no one would be allowed to forget the sacrifices of the people of Jammu.
