Summary
For the first time during last 10 years, Cuban government has decided to allow private taxis in the country. According to the state-run- radio, permits will be issued for running private taxis from Friday. Any person can get the permit to run the taxi. Earlier, permits to run private taxis were issued in Cuba but were cancelled in 1998. Taxi drivers have welcomed the decision. The government announced to give permits in January but the decision couldnt be implemented in Havana. New reforms have been introduced in the country now.
