North Korea says that its nuclear wizards are about to enter the completion stage of their program to develop nuclear warheads with highly enriched uranium while the US has shown its grave concerns on the reports. The official news agency of North Korea said it was in the final stage of enriching uranium, a process that would give it a path to making nuclear weapons other than plutonium-based devices. The official new agency through its permanent representative in United Nations (UN) said that it had succeeded in enriching uranium while the reprocessing of used atomic material was also in last stages. In a letter written to the Security Council President, North Koreas permanent representative revealed that the country was also making atomic bomb through plutonium. On the other hand the US has shown deep anxiety of the reports. US Foreign Office Spokesman Ian Kelly said, In general, were very concerned by these claims that theyre moving closer to the weaponization of nuclear materials,. He, however, said that he couldnt comment on the authenticity of North Korean claims.
