At least 13 prisoners were killed and five others wounded late on Saturday (June 16) after a fire broke out in a Turkish jail in the southeastern city of Sanliurfa, said a local governor.Ambulances could be seen entering the prison compound, and riot police backed with water cannons fortified security at the site. Relatives of the prisoners gathered outside the prison.Sanliurfa governor Celalettin Guvenc said the fire spread out after prisoners set their beds ablaze after a quarrel in a ward, Anatolia news agency reported.
