Summary Eighteen people were killed in bus-truck collision in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
The accident took place in the Lakahooti area when the bus collided with a truck carrying people returning from a funeral early on Thursday.India has the worlds highest road toll, with more than 110,000 people killed every year in accidents.Most are blamed on reckless driving, poorly maintained roads and ageing vehicles
