Jinnah was legendary leader: Jaswant Singh

Former Indian foreign minister Jaswant Singh has said that Quaid-e-Azam was a legendary leader and his stance on the division of sub-continent was based on principal. He said that Jawahir Lal Nehru was responsible for the sub-continent division. Talking to an Indian Channel he said that Nehru wanted a Centralized India at any cost while Muhammad Ali Jinnah wished for a federal governments formation which was also supported by Gandhi. He said that Nehru always remained a hurdle in way of establishing a federal government and divided sub-continent due to his stubborn attitude. Former minister said that Jinnahs stance was based on principal. A new book by Jaswant Singh titled Jinnah, India, Partition, Independence will be launched for exhibition tomorrow. In the book he has called Quaid-e-Azam secular and symbol of Hindu-Muslim Unity.
