Nine people were killed including five tourists when a sightseeing helicopter and a small plane collided and fell into the Hudson River off New York on Friday, authorities said. Mayor Michael Bloomberg said there was no hope anyone survived. This is not going to have a happy ending, he said. The crash killed the pilot and five Italian tourists aboard the Liberty Helicopter Tours helicopter. By the time the search was suspended at nightfall, police had located the remains of the helicopter and three bodies.
