Newly announced head of the British Forces General David Richards says that British troops might stay in Afghanistan for 40 years. General David said that the role of British troops in Afghanistan would end gradually which could take duration of 30 to 40 years. He ruled out the possibility of complete pull out of NATO Forces from Afghanistan. He said that British troops would keep playing their role in rehabilitation of Afghanistan, adding that like Iraq the issue of Afghanistan would also be resolved militarily. He said that alliance forces were winning war against terrorists and the pull out mistake would not be made.
