Summary Jimmy New wedded her ailing fiance Heather Taylor in hospital chapel while sitting on wheelchair.
Jimmy New started dating Heather Taylor in February 2010, but in July she got diagnosed with breast cancer. This led her to undergo several rounds of chemotherapy, but it did not give her any benefit. Rather it gifted her one more disease brain tumor.Taylor, 26, a mother of nine years old boy was battling with her most difficult times in St Anthony Hospital in Lakewood when her boyfriend Jimmy went down on knees to propose her for marriage. She did not agree to the proposal, but after few convincing rounds everything settled down and she was ready to his life partner. Her condition was not such that she could be taken to Church. So the wedding ceremony was organized in the hospital’s chapel where she walked down on the aisle sitting on her wheelchair. She was not wearing gown, but was looking the most beautiful bride, said Jimmy. The hospital staff attended the ceremony and told that her wheelchair was decorated with silver and purple ribbons with balloons and there was little board on her wheelchair on which bride was written.Taylor’s son gave her mother bouquet to exchange it with Jimmy. Both the partners took the vows in the hospital. After the ceremonies got over, Jimmy said: “Theres nobody I would rather spend the rest of my life with than the woman sitting right next to me”.The pin through which she has gone through has made her open a nonprofit charity named as the Hope for Heather Foundation.
