Charles Petraske, 34, parked his hybrid Hyundai Sonata in a Manhattan garage Nov. 6 and boarded a charter bus to the Staten Island start line. He took only the key to his car and $40 with him, leaving the parking ticket on the dashboard in his car, the New York Post reported Sunday.Petraske took a cab back to Bryant Park after completing the race but couldnt remember where he parked his car.I was completely disoriented, he told the newspaper. I had no idea where the heck I was, or where my car is parked, and I had no phone and no money.Petraskes wife drove into the city to pick him up when police said they couldnt locate a missing car until it was towed.
