Summary A man offered to help a man carry a TV before realizing it was stolen from his home.
The resident saw a man carrying a flat-screen TV down the street and asked him if he needed help, reported a News Journal.He then recognized the television as his own and noticed the door to his home ajar, said Master Sgt. Adam Ringle.The man started chasing the suspect and dialed 911 as the man who burglarized his home jumped into a green car driven by a woman, Ringle said.The two burglars were quickly intercepted by police. The driver, identified as Andrea M. Johnson, 28, surrendered to police, but the man took off running.Officers chased the man and ultimately used a stun gun to subdue him before arresting him.The man, identified as Gary D. Hairston, 35, who gave police a fake name upon arrest, was charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, criminal impersonation, resisting arrest and conspiracy. Hairston was also wanted on several outstanding warrants on unrelated burglaries.
