Ive always wanted a blue streak in my hair but my mother wouldnt let me, he joked.The deputy PMs face and clothing were smeared with paint, according to eyewitness.Cleggs centre-left Liberal Democrats have been the cause of much anger after joining the centre-right Conservative party to form a coalition government in the wake of last years general election. The coalition has since overseen a programme of severe spending cuts as it attempts to rein in a record deficit.Clegg and Rennie became the latest in a line of politicians and public figures to feel the wrath of disgruntled Britons.
