Eleven divers from around the globe launched themselves off a specially built 26.5m high platform into Boston Harbour in a bid to claim the stage title. But it was 27-year-old Briton, Gary Hunt, who took out the penultimate stop.The unusual sport consists of the acrobatic perfection of diving into water from great heights, and the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series is the most prominent competitive platform for the sport. Divers between the ages of 25 and 46 from nine countries have been competing in the event.The competition began earlier this year in Rapa Nui, Chile (Easter Island) and Yucatán, Mexico, before heading on to Greece, France and Italy.The final stop for 2011 is set to take place in Ukraine.
