Summary A special wheelchair has been made for a paralysed dog in India's southern Chennai city.
Sam, a ten-year-old Pomeranian, lost mobility in his hind legs due to paralysis two years ago. Uma, the pet owner, said she was heartbroken after the doctors told her about the dogs deteriorating health.Mahalingam had brought the wheelchair from Madurai. It was being used by another dog and later the wheelchair was given to Uma.Uma paid 200 rupees ($ 4.5) as transportation charges for the wheelchair.She also said that the dog had lost the spirit to walk and run around but ever since the wheelchair was brought, they observed some improvement in Sams behaviour.The pet owners say that the wheelchair acted as the hind legs and without it Sam limps and walks with great difficulty.
