Summary Idaho City is employing a team of 600 goats to eat weeds in a 680-acre nature reserve.

It is for the first time goats have been used by the city for landscaping. The city hired animals to clear the skeleton weed from the reserve because goats have proven to be very efficient manager of weed. The main objective of the project is to bring goats and allow them to eat weed and break it down so that seeds are not reproduced.Goats are a more environmentally friendly alternative to weed sprays. They access areas where it is difficult to spray the weed reserves.
