Over 200 certified scuba divers attended the wedding of 41-year-old Alberto dal Lago and 43-year-old Karla Munguia 5-meters underwater.The bride stood next to the groom in a white gown with photographers snapping away. The couple exchanged rings, signaled their vows and kissed before swimming to the surface. The couple decided to hold their wedding underwater to bring attention to the plight of sharks that are endangered. The couple has a common love for sharks which encouraged them to dedicate their wedding to a special cause.The pair invited over 300 guests from South Africa, Egypt, Brazil, France and Italy and had initially hoped to break the world ceremony for largest attendance at an underwater wedding which is held by an Italian couple who had 261 guests at their 2010 wedding. With 205 guests at wedding, dal Lago and Munguia did not break the record but the wedding achieved its purpose.
