Measuring just 23.6 inches tall, the little man from the Philippines Junrey Balawing broke the record of Khagendra Thapa Magar for being the worlds shortest man.Junrey, who weighs only 5kg, became eligible for the record after he celebrated his 18th birthday and was measured by Guinness World Records officials. Junrey lives with his parents and three younger siblings in in Sindangan, a coastal village in the southern Philippines. His parents say Junrey has not grown since his first birthday and consider him a good luck charm.Guinness World Records staff noted his 23½inch stature as relatives hoped fame would attract cash-paying visitors to their tiny village.
