Mother and son were arrested on narcotics charges by an officer who received the sons text message outlining a drug deal by mistake. Travis Edwin Huffman, 25 allegedly was trying to arrange the sale of narcotic pain pills but mis-sent his intended text to the phone of a police officer. Undercover narcotics investigators arranged a buy in the parking lot and arrested the culprits on the spot. Police later arrested the mother of Edwin who allegedly gave Huffman the hydrocodone pills to sell so they would split the proceeds. Both mother and son are now charged with delivery of a controlled substance.Police said this is the first time a dealer who we were unaware of contacted us to set up a transaction.
