Carlos Garcia, a veteran teacher at a Washington Heights school in the United States was fined for using a four-letter Spanish swear word. However, his fine was later cut to $1,000 by a Manhattan judge.Garcia, who teaches at the High School of International Business and Finance, was slapped with a disproportionate fine for uttering curse words in front of several students, Justice Barbara Jaffe ruled.Garcia denied using the profanity and claimed it was no big deal, anyway.
