Summary Exhibition of past royal wedding cakes goes on display.

The exhibition called Let Them Eat Cake, features replicas and models of royal wedding cakes including those of Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth II and Princes Diana and Prince Charles.Slice of Charles and Diana’s wedding cake was recently sold at auction for £1,000. A slightly updated version of the wedding cake is also on display at the exhibition, showing prints of their son William with his fiancée Kate Middleton.Kate is said to have chosen pale colors decided on a floral theme featuring the symbols of the four nations: an English rose, a Scottish thistle, a Welsh daffodil and an Irish shamrock. Highlights at the exhibition included a 9ft (2.74m) model of the wedding cake of Queen Elizabeth II, which weighed 500 pounds at the time.
