Summary People in Gondlanwala, in the neighboring town of Gujranwala, carried out an odd protest. The people were protesting the supply of bad water and no proper sewage. The people took out phony funerals of their local MNA and MPA in protest. The protesters said that if the problem is not eliminated now they will surround the DCO office.
People also protested by burning tires and blocking the streets. The people then took out phony funerals of MNA, Mehmood Bashir and MPA Mumtaz Hashmi and placed then on the sewage water on the streets and threw shoes at them.The protesters say that they had sent many letters to WASA but they gave no response and even the MNA and MPA never came to the city after winning the elections.
