Pakistani content creators honoured at first ‘Year on TikTok 2022’ event
LAHORE (Web Desk) – TikTok marked the end of 2022 in Pakistan by celebrating its local community at a maiden event held in Lahore where top content creators were honoured with awards.
The event, Year on TikTok 2022, featured a thrilling performance of musician Abdul Hanan, who has also made it to the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s favourit playlist of 2022.
Zunaira Mahi has been named as “Top Creator” of the year as the short video sharing platform honoured content creators in different categories, including entertainment, lifestyle and sports.

TikTok’s Regional General Manager, Tarek Abdalla, appreciated the Pakistani content creators for being creative in using the app.
“We are filled with pride as we celebrate our community who have been a driving force behind some of the exciting trends of 2022. From sharing innovative ideas to turning their passions into successful careers, the members of our community have shown incredible resilience and creativity,” he said.
The celebrations will continue on the platform, with users invited to share their favorite moments pf 2022 using trending sounds under the #YearOnTikTok hashtag.
