Summary Quora launches AI answering tool, much like ChatGPT

(Web Desk) – Quora has launched a new product called Poe, which is an AI-powered platform for asking questions and having back-and-forth conversations. Currently, Poe is only available as a beta app for iOS and iPadOS devices, but it is expected to be expanded to other platforms in the future.

The AI behind Poe appears to function similarly to ChatGPT, which is a chatbot that uses the OpenAI GPT-3.5 machine learning model to generate text. Poe also has a trivia feature. While it is unknown at this time whether Poe has addressed the issue of misinformation that has plagued ChatGPT, Quora will likely be more cautious in this regard given its reputation as a source of reliable information.

Details about how Poe works are scarce right now but based on the available screenshots, the AI seems to operate very similarly to ChatGPT – an immensely popular chatbot built on top of OpenAI’s GPT-3.5, which is a machine learning model trained using data on the internet to generate text. Much like ChatGPT, you can get Poe to play trivia with you as well.

If you wish to try out the app, you’ll have to join a waiting list. You can do so through the link in the tweet below.
