A US agency has reported that the Arctic sea snow shrunk to the lowest level.

Arctic sea ice shrunk to the lowest level on record this week, surpassing the previous record set in 2007, a US agency said Wednesday.Satellite images show the ice cap melted back to 3.4 million square kilometers (1.32 million square miles) on September 16, the minimum for the year and smallest extent on record, the National Snow and Ice Data Center said.
