Summary

Astronauts from the U.S. shuttle Discovery worked and walked outside the International Space Station to lay power cables for the orbital outpost for the third and last time. According to the Pakistan Standard Time, the astronauts came out of the shuttle on 2:39 am and remained busy in repair work for six hours. They replaced the Rate Gryo Assembly of the shuttle that had gone out of function. The apparatus functions to measure any change in altitude of the shuttle. Astronauts also installed Global Positioning System at place of Remote Power Control. The final work during the walk was installment of 60-foot long electronic system cable which was also completed by the astronauts. This was Discoverys seventh day in space and it will stay on International Space Station for six more days.
