(Dunya News) - Pakistan and England will meet in the second Test of the three-match series at Lord’s today, with England leading the series 1-0.
Both teams held intensive practice sessions on Wednesday as they prepared for the crucial Test.
Pakistan have fond memories of playing at Lord’s, having defeated England at the venue in 2016 and 2018.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam said the team had identified the mistakes that contributed to their defeat in the opening Test and would look to address them in the second match.
Speaking at a press conference in London, Babar said Pakistan had managed to build partnerships in the first Test but then lost wickets in quick succession, including those of well-set batters.
He said the players needed to learn from those mistakes and take greater responsibility as a team.
Babar added that the responsibility should not rest on Mohammad Rizwan alone, saying every player had to contribute.
“It cannot be that the bowlers take 20 wickets while the batters do nothing,” he said.
