Players of West Indian cricket team called off their strike in a home series against Bangladesh after successful negotiations with the board. The issue of players salaries was settled between players and the board. President of Guyana President Bharrat Jagdeo and representatives of West Indian Players Association participated in the negotiations. The board and players appointed Shridath Ramphal a former Secretary General of Commonwealth as arbitrator to resolve the issue. All the boycotting players including Captain Chris Gayle immediately announced their availability for one day series against Bangladesh. On the other hand board has announced the names of a squad for initial two matches and names of 30 players for the Champions Trophy.
