Summary Pakistan Team One secured two consecutive victories at the Asian Doubles Squash Championship and will face India on Friday in a crucial pool match.

SARAWAK (Web Desk) – Pakistan Team One registered two impressive victories at the third Asian Doubles Squash Championship in Malaysia and will face arch-rivals India in their final pool match on Friday.

Competing in Pool B, Pakistan Team One, comprising Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal, began their campaign with a straight-games victory over Japan, winning 2-0 in a match that lasted 25 minutes.

The pair then produced another dominant performance, defeating Singapore 2-0 in just 10 minutes to maintain their unbeaten record in the tournament.

Pakistan Team One will now take on India’s Rahul and Suraj Kumar Chand in their final Pool B fixture on Friday.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Team Two, featuring Muhammad Hamza Khan and Muhammad Asim Khan, enjoyed a winning start in Pool D by defeating Chinese Taipei 2-0 in a 12-minute contest.

However, the pair were unable to maintain their momentum and suffered a 2-0 defeat against Singapore in their second match, which lasted 26 minutes.

Pakistan Team Two will conclude their pool-stage campaign against Hong Kong on Friday.

The national squad is being managed by Air Commodore (Retd) Amir Nawaz, while former world-class player Faheem Gul is serving as the team coach.
