Summary Mitchell Marsh is likely to miss Australia’s ODI series in Pakistan due to injury and fatigue, with Josh Inglis tipped to captain and Oliver Peake possibly set for debut.

(Web Desk) – Australian player Mitchell Marsh is likely to miss the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan due to injury concerns, with Josh Inglis emerging as the leading candidate to take over captaincy duties.

The first match of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Australia is scheduled for May 30 in Rawalpindi, followed by games on June 2 and June 4 in Lahore.

According to Australian media reports, Marsh suffered an ankle injury during the Indian Premier League and has also been affected by fatigue after a demanding season, putting his participation in the series at risk.

In Marsh’s possible absence, Josh Inglis is being considered a strong option to lead the side, especially as senior players Pat Cummins and Travis Head are unavailable due to IPL commitments and are not part of the ODI squad.

The situation could also open the door for Oliver Peake to make his international debut during the series if changes are made to the playing squad.
