Rana Ashraf Waheed made three goals, helping his side to bag the victory
(Web Desk) – Pakistan on Monday outclassed Canada by 8-1 goals in a pool match of FIH Hockey Nations Cup at Gniezno in Polann.
For Pakistan, Abdul Rehman, Rana Ashraf Waheed, Ghazanfar Ali and Hannan Shahid scored goals.
Pakistan will play their third match of the event against France on Wednesday.
Last week, the match between Pakistan and Malaysia was tied with four goals each.
Fitri Saari, Abu Kamal and Faizal Saari scored in the first 11 minutes as Malaysia were leading with 3-0 in the first quarter.
Pakistan managed to make their first goal when Abdul Rehman displayed stunning performance in the third quarter.
Sufyan Khan scored second goal for Pakistan in the 43rd minute while Hannan Shahid smashed another in 52nd minute.
Abu Bakr Mahmood helped Pakistan pull out stunning draw as he scored the equaliser in the dying seconds of the game.
