Habibullah wins gold medal in 83 kg deadlift; Luqman won the gold medal in the 100-metre race
BERLIN (Web Desk) – Pakistan earned two more gold medals at the ongoing 16th Special Olympics World Games in Germany, bringing their total to nine, which was a significant accomplishment.
Powerlifter Habibullah on Saturday earned the gold medal in the 83 kg deadlift category, while Pakistani athlete Muhammad Luqman won the gold medal in the 100-metre race.
Luqman completed the 100-meter race in 15.21 seconds to take first place. He also took up the silver medal in the long jump competition.
Habibullah won silver medals in the bench press and combined weight.
Earlier, Pakistan's Usman Qamar and Zainab Ali Raza had won gold medals in the cycling event of the 16th Special Olympic World Games in Berlin, Germany.
Usman Qamar completed the time trial 2km race in 5 minutes and 2.12 seconds while Zainab Ali Raza completed the distance of 2 km in 6 minutes 49.29 seconds.
