President gives Rs1 million cash rewards to Arshad Nadeem, Talha Talib
LAHORE (Web Desk) – President Arif Alvi has paid Rs1 million cash rewards to Olympian Arshad Nadeem and Talh Talib for their recent stellar performances in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics.
Javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem and weightlifter Talha Talib called on the president.
During the meeting, Dr Arif Alvi lauded performance of two Pakistani athletes who prominently competed in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics.
Lauding Olympians Arshad Nadeem and Talha Talib, the president said they had brought laurels to the country with their outstanding display of talent. He expressed the confidence that Pakistani athletes would also perform better in the future.
Congratulating both the players for securing fifth position, the president also gave away cheques to the athletes to encourage them.
Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Dr Fehmida Mirza was also present during the meeting.
