Strawberry Sports announces Pakistan's first wrestling league
LAHORE (Web Desk) -Strawberry Sports has announced Pakistan’s first wrestling league. The league is owned by Strawberry Sports, which had earlier introduced the Super Kabaddi League.
According to details, Wrestling is one of the oldest sports in the world. The popular sport became part of the Olympics in 1896 and gained popularity in Pakistan as well. Although, the connection of this sport with this land is several hundred years old.
The first season of the league will be held next year under coronavirus precautions. The league will consist of teams from different cities.
Haider Ali Dawood, founder of Strawberry Sports, said on the occasion that this is a proud moment for sports in Pakistan. We will be presenting a very ancient sport once again in partnership with the Wrestling Federation.
He said that wrestling has a deep connection with Pakistani culture. Top players will take part in the league and the game will be highlighted.
Secretary Pakistan Wrestling Federation Arshad Sattar said that we are very happy to announce this league. Because of this, the sport of wrestling will gain popularity as well as commercial support. We are confident that together with Strawberry Sports we will make a new history.
