PM Imran, Nawaz Sharif did nothing for sports: Amir Khan
I will do something for people if became sports minister: Amir Khan
LAHORE (Dunya News) - British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan said incumbent Prime Minister Imran Khan and former premier Nawaz Sharif did nothing for sports.
Talking exclusively to Dunya News, he said I had ex-PM Nawaz Sharif that give me land and I will open a boxing academy there.
Boxing star said purpose of the academy was to give free trainings to Pakistani youth so that champions could be produced. He said tried many times to acquire land but previous government was only interested in photo shoots.
He said I also requested to PM Imran for land as PM is a sportsman. Amir Khan said I requested PM Imran that I will bring foreign coaches to Pakistan but PTI disappointed me too.
Amir Khan expressed desire to enter in Pakistani politics, saying that he will do something for people if became sports minister. He said it seems politicians make fake promises in Pakistan.
