Wrestler Inam Butt wins gold for Pakistan at 2019 World Beach Games

DOHA (Dunya News) - Pakistani wrestler Inam Butt has won a gold medal for Pakistan at 2019 World Beach Games in Doha as he departed for the event being the only athlete to participate from Pakistan.

Muhammad Inam Butt has won gold medal in Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) World Beach Games in the 90kg weight category in Doha Qatar.

According to details, Muhammad Inam Butt defeated Georgia’s Dato Marsagishvili by 3-2 in the final of the event.

The 2019 World Beach Games, officially known as the ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019, is being held in Doha, Qatar, with the opening ceremony on 12 October.

Butt grabbed the only gold medal for Pakistan in Commonwealth Games 2018 held in April last year, after he completely outclassed his opponent Melvin Bibo of Nigeria in the final of 86kg weight category. He has previously won the gold at Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010.
