Air Marshal Nur Khan national hockey championship starts from April 20

Top notch teams of the country will feature in the national championship to find new hockey talent.

LAHORE (APP) - Domestic hockey’s premier event, the 65th Air Marshal (Late) Muhammad Nur Khan departmental National Hockey Championship will be played from April 20 to May 2 at Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium, Karachi.

Sindh Hockey Association on behalf of Pakistan Hockey Federation is organizing the mega hockey event which has been named after late Nur Khan who is known as top most hockey organizer, administrator and the man behind Pakistan’s hockey team’s glorious title winning achievements at world level.

He is also well respected in international hockey circles and forums due to his illustrious services and valuable contribution for the cause of hockey besides inventing the grand Champions trophy hockey event at international level.

“Top notch teams of the country will feature in the national championship which will also help in identifying new hockey talent,” said a spokesman of the PHF while talking to APP here on Tuesday.

He said the names of technical officials for the smooth conduct of the event will be announced shortly.
