British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan calls on PM Imran
PM welcomes offer made by Amir Khan for playing his role in promotion of boxing in the country
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad.
During the meeting Amir Khan wished to play a role in promoting boxing in Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister said Pakistani youth has huge potential in sports and positive use of their abilities is the priority of the government.
He welcomed the offer made by Amir Khan for playing his role in the promotion of boxing in the country.

On Tuesday, Amir Khan, British attended the flag-lowering ceremony at Wagah Border in Lahore. The renowned boxer participated in the flag-lowering ceremony amid strict security at the border where he also met with his fans.
He waived to the audience and shook hands with security guards and expressed harmony with them. He applauded Pakistani army men and also challenged boxers from India, including Vijender Singh to beat him in the ring.
Amir Khan is currently in Pakistan seeking the establishment of a boxing academy in Lahore in order to promote sports in the country.
