Canadian mountaineer falls into ditch while surmounting K-2

The rescue team initiated the search operation to find him but not successful so far.

SKARDU (Dunya News) – A Canadian mountaineer allegedly fell to his death early Sunday, while attempting to climb the highest mountain of Pakistan K-2.

As per details garnered, climber Serge Dessureault was leading a nine-member team on the mountains of K2.

Three members of the international team were climbing high when Serge fell from a chimney house which was lying between the camp ll and lll into a ditch and yet not found.

The rescue team initiated the search operation to find him but not successful so far.

A fellow mountaineer said that it would not only be difficult to search him but there are less chances of his safe life.

Moreover, sixteen foreign mountaineers were camped into camp ll.

The unfortunate Serge was the leader of K-2 expedition 2018 mountaineering team.
