(Dunya News) – In a competition of strength, girls showcased their skills in the sport of arm wrestling – one that is rarely associated with women.
In a bid to outplay their rivals, contestants flaunted their strengths in the competition in which while the winners celebrated, those who lost vowed to perform better next time.

For participants, the sport which is largely associated with men is just one of many others women can equally excel in if given the right opportunities and platforms. Contestants said women were no less than men and while such sports involved force and technique, it’s not one they were incapable of participating and excelling in.
“This is a technical sport. It requires a lot of strength and force…even if the competitor facing me is a boy, I can beat him,” says a contestant participating in the competition that was organised by the Sindh Arm Wrestling Association in Karachi.
